“Sunday” Theme
“Sweet Treats” Glass Sundae Candle in Ice Cream Parlor Gift Box (Set of Four)
Everyone loves to sit and talk about something, whether it’s about their job or whether they’re reminiscing of the past, especially when there’s a shower….and you know everyone loves to have goodies as they do this, such as coffee with cake or ice cream. Have you ever thought about a “Sunday” shower? It’s a shower with a sweet twist…
Have a bridal shower outside with your normal opening of the presents but instead of having normal games such as “Who knows the bride the best?”, why not add a “make your own Sunday” section to the shower….have a Chocolate fountain, fondue, chocolate covered strawberries, things like that at the shower.
In one section of the party, add in a place for the guest to make their own sundaes…you could give out prizes for “Best tasting”, “Best looking”, “Best presentation”, whatever you want…guest love things like this. The prizes could be photo ops, gift cards, or you could buy gifts for prizes.
It’s a nice way for everyone to do something together, have a wonderful time, and have something to eat along with good conversations.
Outer Space Theme
“Starlight” Wedding Accessories Collection (White or Ivory)
“To boldly go where no man has gone before…” or “Space…the final frontier…” Wouldn’t you like to go into space for a bridal shower…watching the comets fly past you and seeing the world below you? Well unless you have a lot of money or know someone that works for NASA, that probably will not happen…but wouldn’t it be fun and exciting to have a “space shower”?
Comets, astronauts, and aliens could be made for invitations…you could make “alien cuisines” by adding food coloring to everyday foods, such as potato salad or you could make cookies to look like astronauts, comets, aliens, stars, whatever your heart desires. Decorations are easy as most party stores have space themed decorations….glow in the dark stars and planets, spaceships and alien figures, you name it, stores usually have it. “Find the most aliens” could be a fun game to play…hide little alien figures and have people search for them, like an Easter egg hunt.
There are many possibilities for this type of theme and when it is done, you can say that you “boldly went where no man (or woman) has gone before!”
Silver And Gold Theme
“We Tied the Knot!” Frosted-Glass Votive Candle with Silver-Metal Plate and Silk Tassel
Two of the most known colors, besides black and white, for a shower are either silver or gold…they are both beautiful by themselves but much more so when together, so why not have the best of both worlds?
Invitations could be written on gold and silver foiled paper and decorations could include gold flowers in silver vases, gold and silver wedding bells, and gold and silver dollies…also, you could include a gift display for each color. Guests could wear gold and silver clothing to match the occasion and could buy a present with these two colors.
You could have refreshments in gold and silver glasses or in a punch bowl and have gold and silver edible foods…gold leafed petit fours, Jordan almonds with silver and gold, or gold and silver coined chocolates. You could have a treasure hunt as the game, where the guest have to find various coins to be exchanged for prizes….goodie bags could be filled with gold and silver candies, bookmarks, anything that you want.
This type of theme is simple as most stores carry gold and silver items but leaves a lasting impression…bring out the best of both worlds with this theme.
